Our Junior Kindy Room’s cater for children approximately from 16 months 30 months of age. Educators prepare and implement a curriculum that is developed from the interests and needs of the children. The children are encouraged and supported to explore the world around them through exciting and developmentally appropriate experiences.
Some examples of activities that the child at this developmental stage should be doing:
- Walks, Climbs, Runs
- Feeds themselves
- Begins to co-operate in play
- Can drink from a cup
- Recognises themselves in mirrors
- Knows and repeats first name
The educators assist children in preparing to move up to the next room by working closely with families.
